Home Science (Grih Vigyan) is a unique and highly practical subject that combines science, health, nutrition and family welfare into one degree. It is designed specially to empower women with both academic knowledge and practical life skills.
Students learn about what to eat and why, how to care for children, how to manage a household efficiently, and how textiles are made and designed. These skills are valuable both at home and in a professional career.
Home Science graduates from Hanumangarh and Rawatsar can work as nutrition counsellors, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, teachers and even start their own small self-employment businesses in food, tailoring or childcare.
